Historical Drama: Day 4 (Pit Falls)

So, I've been writing long enough to know that there are certain pit falls I often run into. One is character's all sounding like me. "Hey, Wellington... How you doin'?" "I dunno... K?" Another is my tendency to be too efficient in my scenes. I mean, I could probably get through that massive block of plot I have planned for the first movie in 50 pages. It just would not be that good of a movie. The one I want to focus on is that I started writing and found that I needed to bounce around in time a lot. I can't do that. It won't make sense. So... I have a solution...

I have decided that the best course of action is to choose a present-moment for the movie and I think that we'll have that be in India for Arthur and in Egypt for Napoleon. This allows a lot of comparison as they'll both be in deserts etc... From there we can have flashbacks and flash-forwards as necessary.

Alright... enough Ackbar references.

THAT'S A WRAP!!!
